John Decker Visual Effects Supervisor

John Decker has over 25 years of experience in the visual effects industry, spanning feature films, television, commercials and video games.

His recent credits include the Peacock event series "The Continental". Shooting in Budapest, New York, and London, John supervised the creation of 1,400 visual effects shots re-creating a gritty 1970's New York, and the expansive environment of John Wick's hotel sanctuary. He has also spent time in the MCU, supervising VFX on 5 season of "Agents of SHIELD", and Season 3 of "Marvel's Runaways".

John began his visual effects career in 1994 as an intern at Dream Quest Images, before moving to Sony Pictures Imageworks where he worked on "Anaconda", "Godzilla" and the Academy Award® nominated "Starship Troopers". He later moved to R!OT Pictures where he contributed his artistic skills to "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Angel", "The X-Files", and "Smallville". Additional work includes designing the look of a battered and beaten robotic adversary for Will Smith in "I,Robot". His video game credits include multiple titles of the "Medal of Honor" franchise, and the classic RTS "Command & Conquer".

John graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television and Film. He recently completed a certificate course from UCLA in Business and Management of Entertainment. He is a board manager of the Visual Effects Society and a member of the VFX Peer Group of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
